Alnwick Castle
Alnwick Castle has been made famous by the fact it is the setting for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. It was built in the Eleventh century during the Border wars with the Scots. There are children's activities and frequent events - please visit their site for details.

A huge Norman castle completey restored in 1900. Visitors can see the museum room, grand kings hall, cross hall, armoury and the Victorian scullery.

Kielder Castle Forest Park Centre
Kielder Castle was originally built as a hunting lodge for the Earl of Northumberland. It now houses a gallery, restaurant, gift shop, children's play area and a Minotaur maze.
